Kathmandu — In an era defined by rapid technological advancement, Islington College, in
collaboration with ING Skill Academy, Kathmandu, successfully organized a three-day
technology exhibition titled Futurama 2025. Held from August 6 to 8 at the Islington
College premises, the event aimed to empower the next generation with practical exposure to
cutting-edge innovations.
The exhibition highlighted the creative and hands-on capabilities of Nepali youth through
interactive showcases of student-built self-driving vehicle models, robotic assistants, such
as Project Krishak (Farm Bot), Telepresence Robot, and immersive animation experiences.
The event featured live demonstrations, interactive booths, and workshops covering topics
ranging from cybersecurity to artificial intelligence (AI).

According to Anisha Acharya, Chief Exhibition Coordinator“Futurama was designed to give
young minds a platform for experiential learning. It not only boosted their confidence but
also encouraged thinking around sustainability and entrepreneurship.”
A major crowd-puller on the final day was the much-loved “Coffee Rave” session, popular
among the youth. Over the course of the three days, the exhibition attracted more than 3,500
visitors, with enthusiastic participation from students, tech enthusiasts, and the general
public.
Futurama 2025 was not just a display of futuristic tech but also a meaningful step toward
building a culture of sustainability, innovation, and hands-on learning. Organizers shared that
the event will expand to other major cities across Nepal, with the aim of promoting youth
engagement in technology and fostering a nationwide spirit of innovation.
